Melanes, Naxos, Kykladen, Ägäis Inseln
In the wider area of the village Melanes, between the village Mili and the village Potamia there are two imressive statues of Kouros. The first one is about 6m long and was made during the first half of the 6th century BC. The statue is located near an ancient quarry and after the Temple of Springs. About 500m further up there is another unfinished statue, less known and visited. Both statues, as well as the Kouros of Apollona, were left unfinished at the position found.
