One of the most popular places that offer panoramic views of Chania, are the tombs of the Venizelos, a few miles east of town, on the way to the Cape and the airport. There are the tombs of the famous Greek politician Eleftherios Venizelos and his son Sophocles Venizelos, as the small church of Prophet Elias. Around the graves formed a nice little park and the view to Chania is unobstructed .
